Karl Basic vertical uprights form the structural backbone of ESD-compliant workstation systems, providing load-rated frame support with integrated earthing continuity across the full assembly. Manufactured from powder-coated steel profile, these uprights maintain surface and volume resistance in the range of 10⁵ to 10⁹ Ω when combined with Karl Basic worktop surfaces and conductive accessories, meeting the requirements of IEC 61340-5-1 for EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) workstation design. Standard upright heights allow for working-height adjustment within a defined range, accommodating ergonomic positioning for seated and standing tasks without interrupting system grounding.
