Choosing the right magnifying lamp
Dioptres and magnification
The magnification of a magnifying lamp is set by the dioptre value of the lens. A higher dioptre value gives stronger magnification, but a smaller field of view and shorter working distance. Moderate values suit everyday assembly and inspection work, while stronger lenses help with fine detail.

ESD and UV - when they help
In electronics production, choose an ESD-safe version to protect electrostatically sensitive components.
