Simco - Ionization and static charge neutralization

Neutralize static charges precisely - in electronics production and cleanrooms.

Simco is an established manufacturer of ionization and static-control technology. The range spans ionizing nozzles and ionizing guns for pinpoint discharge through to overhead ionizers and blower ionizers for entire workstations.

Electrostatic charges cause component damage, particle attraction and process disruption in electronics production. Simco ionizers generate a balanced ion output and dissipate these charges in a controlled way - at the manual workbench as well as in the cleanroom.

Reliable dischargeBalanced ionization dissipates positive and negative charges quickly and evenly.
Cleanroom-readyModels rated for cleanroom classes down to ISO 4 - suited to sensitive production and assembly areas.

Choosing the right ionizer

Point discharge or area discharge?

For local, precise discharge at a single work point, ionizing nozzles and ionizing guns that use compressed air are ideal. For whole workstations or conveyed goods, overhead ionizers and blower ionizers provide even, area-wide neutralization.

Cleanroom and environment

In sensitive environments the cleanroom class is decisive. Overhead ionizers of the 5810i series are rated for classes down to ISO 4, and benchtop units such as XC2 or CXL for defined ISO classes. Look for low particle generation and low-maintenance emitter points.

Hand-held or fixed installation

  • Hand-held: guns and portable units for changing positions and sample handling.
  • Fixed: nozzles and overhead units for automated and repeated processes.
  • Machine integration: compact modules such as FUSION for building into equipment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Simco

What are Simco ionizers used for?

Simco ionizers neutralize electrostatic charges. In electronics production they prevent component damage, particle attraction and process disruption - at manual workbenches, in automated equipment and in cleanrooms.

What is the difference between an ionizing nozzle and an overhead ionizer?

An ionizing nozzle such as ORION uses compressed air and discharges a specific point precisely, for example in machine integration. An overhead ionizer such as the 5810i series is mounted above the workstation and uses fans to neutralize a whole area without compressed air.

Are Simco ionizers suitable for cleanrooms?

Yes, several models are designed for cleanrooms. The overhead ionizers of the 5810i series are rated for cleanroom classes down to ISO 4, and benchtop units such as Aerostat XC2 or the mobile CXL are used for defined ISO classes.

Do all Simco devices need compressed air?

No. Ionizing nozzles and ionizing guns such as Top Gun 3 or AirForce 6115 use compressed air to carry ions and an air stream to the target. Overhead ionizers and blower ionizers such as Aerostat instead use fans and require no compressed air.

Which Simco device suits hand-held use?

For flexible, hand-held applications, ionizing guns such as Top Gun 3 and AirForce 6115 as well as portable units such as minION are suitable. They can be positioned freely and are ideal for changing work points and handling samples.
