Soldering
Solder mask dots and covers protect solder-free areas on PCBs from unwanted tinning during wave or reflow soldering. The range includes PPI TAP solder mask dots in diameters of 4, 6, 8 and 10 mm, available in quantities of 1,000 to 10,000 pieces. The self-adhesive dots can be removed without residue after the soldering process.
| Part number | Diameter | Quantity |
|---|---|---|
| PPI TAP 7004/1000 | 4 mm | 1,000 |
| PPI TAP 7004/10.000 | 4 mm | 10,000 |
| PPI TAP 7006/1000 | 6 mm | 1,000 |
| PPI TAP 7006/10.000 | 6 mm | 10,000 |
| PPI TAP 7008/1000 | 8 mm | 1,000 |
| PPI TAP 7008/10.000 | 8 mm | 10,000 |
| PPI TAP 7010/1000 | 10 mm | 1,000 |
| PPI TAP 7010/10.000 | 10 mm | 10,000 |
Typical applications: Protection of holes, pads and contact areas during wave soldering, masking of test points and connector zones during reflow, rework processes with selective solder masking, and series PCB assembly with standardised cover dots in EMS environments.
