ULT - Extraction and filtration technology from Germany

Clean air at the workplace - for electronics, laboratory and industry.

ULT is a German manufacturer of extraction and filtration systems for keeping the air clean at industrial workplaces. The range spans solder-fume extraction, laser smoke and fine dust as well as the capture of gases, vapours and odours.

The units capture pollutants directly at the point of origin and return the air multi-stage filtered (up to H13/H14). This protects staff, processes and components - from the manual soldering bench to automated production lines.

Buyer's guide

Choosing the right ULT extraction unit

Which type of pollutant?

The pollutant determines the product series and filter build-up:

  • Solder fume - LRA series with particle and gas filter (e.g. H13).
  • Laser smoke - LAS series with high-pressure turbine for fine particles.
  • Fine dust - ASD series, with filter cleaning for high dust loads.
  • Gases, vapours, odours - ACD series with activated carbon or combination filter.

Air volume and vacuum

Watch the ratio of air volume (m³/h) to vacuum (Pa). Open hoods and long hoses need more air volume, while precise nozzles at tight processes need more vacuum. High-pressure units suit small, precise capture points; volume-flow units suit area capture.

Stationary, mobile or Ex?

Fixed workplaces are best served by stationary units, while changing locations call for mobile versions and filter trolleys. For ignitable dust or vapours, choose an Ex version designed for explosion-protected operation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about ULT

What does ULT manufacture?

ULT is a German manufacturer of extraction and filtration systems for keeping air clean. The range covers units for solder fume, laser smoke, fine dust and for gases, vapours and odours at industrial and electronics workplaces.

What applications are ULT units used for?

The units are used wherever pollutants should be captured directly at the source: soldering, lasering, grinding and milling, bonding and coating, as well as processes that release odours or vapours. The LRA, LAS, ASD and ACD series cover the respective pollutant types.

What filter stages do ULT systems offer?

ULT relies on multi-stage filtration. Depending on the application, pre-filters, HEPA filters and gas filters are combined, with HEPA filters up to class H13 or H14 for fine dust and smoke, and activated carbon filters against gaseous pollutants and odours.

How do I choose the right ULT unit?

The decisive factors are the type of pollutant, the required air volume (m³/h) and the vacuum (Pa) at the capture point. Precise capture at tight processes needs high vacuum, while area capture needs a higher air volume. We help you specify the correct series and filter build-up.

Are there ULT units for explosion-hazardous areas?

Yes. For ignitable dust, gases or vapours, ULT offers Ex versions designed for explosion-protected operation. The right variant depends on the substances present and the zone classification.
