Marking and labels

ESD protection

ESD labelling makes EPA zones, ESD-sensitive components, and protective equipment immediately recognisable to all personnel and is a mandatory element of every EPA concept per DIN EN 61340-5-1. The range covers ESD labels in various formats and versions, signs and tags for zone boundaries, shelving and containers, and conductive ESD tape for floor marking, grounding identification, and packaging sealing.

DIN EN 61340-5-1 mandatory - marking EPA zone boundaries, ESD-sensitive components, and protective equipment is normatively required
ESD warning symbol per IEC 60417 - standardised warning symbol for ESD-sensitive components on labels and signs
📦 Conductive tapes - for floor marking, grounding connections, and shielding packaging seals
Various substrate materials - film, paper, and polyester depending on location (outdoor/indoor, chemical resistance)
Format variety - from small component labels to large-format zone signs

A complete EPA zone labelling system operates at three levels: zone boundary (floor marking with conductive tape and zone entry sign), workstation marking (ESD signs on tables, shelves, and containers indicating mandatory wrist strap or heel strap), and component marking (ESD warning labels on components, boards, and delivery items). Substrate material selection depends on protection class and location: outdoor signs require weatherproof film, labels for storage containers must adhere to polyethylene and cardboard.

Typical applications: Initial setup and recertification of EPA zones (DIN EN 61340-5-1), labelling of ESD-sensitive components and assemblies in goods-in storage, demarcation and visualisation of protected areas in electronics manufacturing, shipping and packaging with ESD warning identification, and preparation of training and audit documentation.
