ACE - industrial deceleration technology from Germany

Shock absorbers and motion control for machinery and automation

ACE is a German manufacturer of industrial deceleration technology. The range spans self-adjusting and adjustable shock absorbers, impact heads and clamping flanges through to complete motion control for machines and equipment.

At its core are the MC, MA and SC shock absorbers with a defined stroke that decelerate moving masses in a controlled, repeatable way. Accessories such as side load adapters, impact heads, clamping flanges and locking nuts complete the range for a reliable installation.

Choosing the right ACE shock absorber

Self-adjusting or adjustable?

Self-adjusting shock absorbers such as the MC and SC series adapt automatically to changing masses and speeds - ideal when many different load cases occur. Adjustable models of the MA series allow precise fine-tuning to one defined application.

Stroke and size

The stroke defines the available braking distance. Longer strokes (for example 100 or 150 mm) absorb more energy over a greater distance and reduce the load on the structure. The thread (such as M 45x1,5 or M 64x2) must match the intended mounting.

Do not forget the accessories

For a secure installation, clamping flanges (axial or side mounting), impact heads, side load adapters and locking nuts complete the range. Make sure the accessory and the shock absorber share the same thread size.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about ACE

What is the difference between self-adjusting and adjustable shock absorbers?

Self-adjusting shock absorbers such as the ACE MC and SC series adapt the damping automatically to changing masses and speeds. Adjustable shock absorbers such as the MA series are set to a specific load case and are best suited to constant, well-known applications.

What does the stroke of an ACE shock absorber mean?

The stroke is the braking distance over which the shock absorber absorbs the motion energy. Depending on the series, ACE shock absorbers offer strokes of roughly 50 to 150 mm. A longer stroke spreads the energy over a greater distance and lowers the load on the structure.

Which accessories are available for ACE shock absorbers?

The range includes clamping flanges for axial or side mounting, impact heads, side load adapters and locking nuts. The accessory must match the thread size of the respective shock absorber, for example M 45x1,5 or M 64x2.

Are there ACE shock absorbers for high temperatures?

Yes. Some models of the MC series are available as a high-temperature (HT) version, designed for use in warm environments where standard shock absorbers reach their limits.

Where does the ACE brand come from?

ACE is a German manufacturer of industrial deceleration and damping technology. The range covers shock absorbers, dampers, gas springs and vibration and motion control for machinery and automation.
