Dry storage cabinets keep moisture-sensitive components permanently below 5 % relative humidity, protecting MSL-classified SMD parts against moisture uptake in accordance with IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033. The Iteco Ghibli range uses self-regenerating zeolite desiccant modules that require no consumables and can reach residual humidity levels below 1 % RH. This allows opened dry-packs to continue in production without rebaking, effectively pausing the floor life of the components.

The key selection criteria are required internal volume, target residual humidity, and monitoring needs. Basic storage requires only a cabinet with a zeolite module (Iteco 8104852). For documentation-critical processes, Ethernet data loggers (Iteco 8105113E) or USB data loggers (8105113U) with alarm functions are added. Stainless steel shelves for 10 trays (8104865, 8106866) or aluminium trays (8106583) extend the cabinet for JEDEC tray stacks or component reels. The Continuous Monitor Ghibli ADV (Iteco 9263652) enables uninterrupted 24/7 monitoring. Recalibration units (CK-005, CK-013) maintain long-term measurement accuracy of the data logger.

Typical applications: SMT manufacturing and component storage (IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033, MSL 1-6), rework and repair of moisture-sensitive assemblies, storage of bare PCBs and solder pastes, and quality or goods-receipt areas with documented humidity control.
