Detectable products from the Franz Mensch Hygostar range are manufactured so that they can be reliably identified by standard metal detectors and X-ray inspection systems. The range covers ballpoint pens, permanent markers, washable markers and fluorescent highlighters, all in a characteristic blue housing for fast visual identification on the production floor. These items are designed for use in HACCP-regulated areas of the food, pharmaceutical and packaging industries.
The line-up runs from basic clip-free ballpoints (models 85403/85404) and metal ballpoints with fixed or retractable refills through to food-grade permanent markers with round tips (85408-85409). Replacement refills for the metal versions are available separately.

Typical applications: Food processing and packaging lines with mandatory foreign-body inspection, pharmaceutical manufacturing with batch documentation, meat and fish processing, dairy facilities, and electronics assembly cleanrooms where detectable writing instruments are part of the quality assurance system.
