Tip by heat demand
The series determines heat transfer: smaller series for fine work, series 800 for joints with high heat demand such as ground planes or large pads. Choose the tip shape (for example blade/chisel) by pad size and component.

Rework with hot air and under-heat
For BGA and SMD rework, hot-air stations and infrared under-heaters complement iron soldering. The under-heater warms the board evenly and reduces thermal stress during local heating.
