ZEISS is a German optics manufacturer with a long tradition in microscopy. At esd.equipment you will find the industrial range: stereo microscopes of the STEMI 508 and STEMI 305 series, plus the Primotech reflected-light microscope for materials and electronics inspection.

Choosing the right ZEISS stereo microscope

STEMI 508 or STEMI 305?

The STEMI 508 offers a larger zoom range and high optical reserves for fine inspection tasks. The STEMI 305 is more compact and more affordable and suits control, repair and training.

Trino or documentation version

A trinocular body has an extra camera port for live view and documentation. Doc versions are designed for fixed camera configurations. Choose trino if you want the flexibility to add a microscopy camera later.

ESD and the workstation

For work on electronic assemblies the body, stand and illumination should be dissipative. Make sure the working distance is sufficient and the viewing angle is ergonomic with a suitable tube.
