Big Bags - TEC
ESD Packaging
ESD Big Bags are large-volume, electrostatically dissipative bulk containers designed to store and transport static-sensitive components, assemblies, and granulates safely. With a surface resistance in the range of 10⁵ - 10⁹ Ω and a volume capacity typically between 0.5 m³ and 2 m³, these flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs) comply with IEC 61340-5-1 and EN 1677 to prevent electrostatic discharge events during handling, filling, and transport. Ground connection straps and dissipative inner liners ensure full EPA-compliant discharge paths throughout the entire filling and emptying cycle.
esd.equipment supplies 6 ESD Big Bag variants covering Type C and Type D FIBC classifications, suitable for use in explosive-atmosphere-adjacent zones and cleanroom-adjacent production environments. All products meet the electrostatic requirements of IEC 61340-5-1 and are traceable to DIN EN ISO 21898 for FIBC structural integrity, giving procurement teams a single verified source for compliant bulk ESD packaging.
Typical application areas: Electronics manufacturing and SMT component storage (IEC 61340-5-1, IPC-A-610), semiconductor bulk material handling (SEMI S1/S2), automotive production logistics for static-sensitive granulates and parts (VDA 6.3, IATF 16949), medical device component transport (ISO 13485), and chemical/pharmaceutical processing in explosive-adjacent environments requiring controlled electrostatic discharge.
