Every coupling in an air line throttles the flow and makes the compressor deliver more. The Nitto Kohki Full-Blow Cupla opens the passage completely through a gate type valve and reaches up to 40 % more flow than conventional Cupla couplings.

• Full-open gate type valve, flow rate rises by up to 40 % over conventional Cupla couplings and lowers the source air volume required
• The valve is closed during connection and disconnection, so the line can be made and parted at zero pressure
• Purge function: returning sleeve B releases the residual pressure in the plug, which removes the loud pop and the hose whip on disconnection
• Built-in sleeve lock operated by the flange prevents accidental disconnection
• The valve can be opened and closed while socket and plug stay connected, so the line can be shut without parting it
• Aluminium alloy body at 30 to 45 % less weight than conventional Cupla couplings, a socket weighs 64 g to 90 g depending on the end configuration

• Air lines with high consumption where the pressure loss of the coupling matters
• Connecting pneumatic tools to hose lines and manifolds
• Workplaces where the line is parted under residual pressure and the hose must not whip back
• Polyurethane hose from ø6.5 x ø10 mm to ø11 x ø16 mm on the SN type sockets
• Line sections that are shut off briefly for a tool change instead of being parted

Compatibility

The sockets connect with plugs of HI Cupla models 10, 17, 20, 30 and 40 and are interchangeable with the other products of the HI Cupla series. Some plugs of the plastic HI Cupla 250 are not interchangeable.

Standards and compliance

End sizes are 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" as Rc and R threads or hose barbs, tightening torques are 14 Nm, 22 Nm and 60 Nm, the sealing material is nitrile rubber (NBR, marked SG) for -20 °C to +60 °C.
