Leica Geosystems, based in Heerbrugg, Switzerland, builds measuring equipment for construction, surveying and utility locating. Seven product lines are stocked here: DISTO handheld laser distance meters, Lino line and point lasers, NA automatic levels, Rugby rotating lasers, PIPER pipe lasers, DD and ULTRA cable and utility locators, and machine receivers. Each line has its own subcategory, with the matching accessories (tripods, target plates, hand-held receivers, levelling staffs) placed next to it. The right class follows from the site, the working range, the laser colour and the ingress protection.
DISTO Laser Distance MetersHandheld laser distance meters for interiors and site work, plus tripods and adapters.
Lino Line LasersLine and point lasers for interior fit-out, with red or green laser diode.
NA Automatic LevelsAutomatic levels, tripods and levelling staffs for height transfer.
Rugby Rotating LasersRotating lasers with hand-held receiver for large outdoor working areas.
PIPER Pipe LasersPipe lasers for sewer and pipeline work with grade setting in percent.
Cable and Utility LocatingLocating cables and utility lines on the transmitter and receiver principle.
Machine ReceiversLMR and MC200 machine receivers for excavators and attachments.
| Line | Instrument type | Use |
|---|---|---|
| DISTO | Handheld laser distance meter | Interior take-off, facades with pointfinder |
| Lino | Line and point laser | Drywall, installation work, tiling |
| NA | Automatic level | Height transfer and stake-out |
| Rugby | Rotating laser | Earthworks outdoors, with hand-held or machine receiver |
| PIPER | Pipe laser | Pipeline work with grade in percent |
| DD and ULTRA | Utility locating | Finding cables and pipes before excavation |
Typical applications: Measuring interiors and facades, transferring heights and setting out on the shell, planning gradients in sewer and pipeline construction, and locating cables and lines before excavation or core drilling.
