The first filter layer of an extraction unit loads fastest during soldering, because coarse dust and sticky rosin aerosols are caught there. These pink Filtronic prefilter discs take on exactly that duty in the FT 1 unit and protect the downstream main filter. Supplied as a pack of 10 discs.

Applications

The discs are used at manual soldering benches, in rework and in repair areas of electronics production where an FT 1 captures solder fumes directly at the source. With rosin-based solder and multi-shift operation a short change interval is advisable so that the airflow at the extraction arm stays constant.
