ESD T-shirts V-neck - TEC
ESD T-shirts
ESD T-shirts with V-neck are engineered to provide reliable electrostatic discharge protection at the skin-contact level, achieving a surface resistance in the range of 10⁵-10⁷ Ω and a charge decay time of <0.5 s - both measured in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1 and EN 1149-5. The fabric integrates a permanent carbon-fibre or stainless-steel grid at a typical thread pitch of 5-10 mm, ensuring a consistent body-to-ground connection across the entire garment surface throughout its service life. With a V-neckline design, the collar geometry minimises triboelectric charging at the neckline interface, a critical zone in semiconductor and PCB-assembly environments where unshielded skin contact with components poses the highest ESD risk.
As a specialist distributor for EPA-compliant workwear, esd.equipment supplies 105 ESD V-neck T-shirts from leading manufacturers - covering sizes XS-4XL, short-sleeve and long-sleeve variants, and fabrics certified to EN 1149-5, IEC 61340-5-1, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Each article in the range has been selected to meet the grounding requirements of a fully validated EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) as defined by IEC 61340-5-2.
Typical application areas: Electronics manufacturing and SMT assembly lines (IEC 61340-5-1, IPC-A-610), semiconductor wafer handling and clean-room environments (SEMI S1/S2, SEMI E187), medical device production (ISO 13485, EN 1149-5), automotive electronics and ECU assembly (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3), aerospace and avionics manufacturing (AS9100D), and defence electronics rework and repair (MIL-STD-1686).
