A built-in series resistor of 1 MΩ limits fault current to safe levels while maintaining a total system resistance < 3.5 x 10⁷ Ω from body through footwear to the grounded ESD floor. Snap-type and hook-and-loop closure variants are available for conductive flooring rated < 10⁹ Ω/sq.
