ESD disposable heel grounder, yellow, self-adhesive, for visitors, pack of 100 - Desco 249205

Visitors, contractors and temporary staff need to enter the EPA grounded, without you having to issue, collect and clean a reusable heel grounder for each of them. The 249205 disposable heel grounder sticks to the heel of the shoe with pressure sensitive adhesive and achieves an Rg of 1 x 10⁵ to below 1 x 10⁷ ohms. The bright yellow border shows at a glance who is properly grounded.

Applications

For visitor areas, audits, maintenance crews and training sessions in electronics production and laboratories. Peel off the release paper, place the non-adhesive end inside the shoe under the foot with the black dot centred under the heel and facing up, wrap the strip snugly round the shoe and press it onto the underside of the heel. Tear off the excess at the serration. Use one heel grounder on each foot.

Standards

Resistance measured per IEC 61340-5-1, clause A.2. The grounder is intended for one-time, short-term use. Desco recommends checking it with a footwear tester or replacing it at least every four hours or each time the wearer enters the EPA.
