Grounding many operators and visitors every day calls for heel grounders that go on quickly and do not need resetting each time. On the 248680, a clip fastener with an elastic back takes care of that. A 1 megohm resistor limits current, and the grounders come in a bag of 25.

Applications

Personnel grounding in warehouses, production and visitor areas with ESD flooring or floor mats. Floors with a resistance to ground between 1 and 20 megohms are preferred. Place the conductive tab inside the shoe under the sole of the foot and trim if needed, then fit the heel cup, close the clip and adjust the elastic strap for comfort.

Standards

Designed for grounding via a person, footwear and flooring system per IEC 61340-5-1: total resistance below 1.0 x 10⁹ ohms and body voltage below 100 V. Wear on both feet and check with a footwear tester before starting work. If the test fails, clean the grounder and tab and test again.
