Hakko Nitrogen system - TEC
Hakko Soldering stations
The Hakko nitrogen system enables soldering under a nitrogen atmosphere to minimise oxidation at the tip and solder joint. The system consists of nitrogen generators (FX-780-01 and FX-781-81, each 99.9% purity), a precision flow meter FX-791 (control range 0.25-2.5 L/min) and the N2 soldering iron FN-1102 (95 W). The generators produce nitrogen on-site from compressed air, eliminating the need for external gas cylinders.
| Item | Function | Specification |
|---|---|---|
| Hakko FX-780-01 | Nitrogen generator | 99.9% N2 purity, from compressed air |
| Hakko FX-781-81 | Nitrogen generator | 99.9% N2 purity, alternative version |
| Hakko FX-791 | N2 flow meter | 0.25-2.5 L/min, precision dosing |
| Hakko FN-1102 | Nitrogen soldering iron | 95 W, optimised for N2 atmosphere |
Typical applications: Lead-free soldering (RoHS) with increased oxidation tendency at higher temperatures, precision soldering on oxidation-sensitive surfaces (gold contacts, silver), rework workstations with quality requirements for joint appearance and strength, and production in medical technology and aerospace where flux residues must be minimised.
