The Metcal SSC soldering tip series operates on the proprietary SmartHeat technology platform, delivering tip temperatures stabilized to within ±1 °C through passive closed-loop thermal regulation - no sensor, no PID controller required. SSC tips are designed for the MX and CV soldering systems and cover a working temperature range of 260 °C to 399 °C, with tip-to-ground resistance values of <2 Ω to meet IEC 61340-5-1 ESD safety requirements at the point of contact.
As an authorized Metcal distributor, esd.equipment stocks 46 SSC series tips across cartridge geometries including conical, chisel, knife, bevel, and micro configurations. All tips comply with J-STD-001 workmanship standards and are traceable for use in ISO 13485 and AS9100 controlled production environments.
