Bernstein tools
Bernstein miscellaneous hand tools include needle files, hammers, punches, saws, and stereo microscopes for specialised trade and laboratory tasks. Needle files (100 mm) are available in six cross-sections: flat-blunt (5-231), flat-pointed (5-232), round (5-233), half-round (5-234), triangular (5-235), and square (5-236). Bench hammers to DIN 1041 come in 200 g (7-114) and 300 g (7-116); soft-faced hammers with 22, 27, and 32 mm head diameters for sensitive work. Two stereo microscope models (9-158-1, 9-158-2) complete the range for inspection and fine work applications.

Needle files with wood handles are suited to deburring and profiling metal and plastic, with cross-section chosen to match the internal contour being worked. Bench hammers (DIN 1041) for driving and punching; soft-face hammers for impact-sensitive surfaces and fits. The micro screwdriver (4-380-14, 1.4 x 0.25 mm) is matched to micro fasteners in precision instruments. Stereo microscopes (9-158-1, 9-158-2) are used for solder inspection, component examination, and magnified repair work.
Typical applications: deburring and reworking metal parts and plastic housings (needle files), assembly with striking tools (bench hammer, soft-face hammer), marking and centre-punching before drilling (punch 7-316), mobile cutting of metal and plastic (pocket saw PUK), and PCB and component inspection under magnification (stereo microscope).
