ESD wrist straps provide the direct dissipation path from the wrist to earth and are the most widely used personnel grounding device under DIN EN 61340-5-1. The range includes fabric wrist straps (dual-conductor, adjustable) and metal straps (stainless-steel backing) from DESCO, as well as colour-coded plastic straps with 3-mm, 7-mm, and 10-mm snap connectors in yellow, red, light blue, and dark blue. Anti-allergenic versions with reduced metal content are also available.

Dual-conductor straps such as the DESCO 4720 (thermoplastic) and DESCO 60677 (metal, MagSnap) allow simultaneous monitoring on two channels at the ESD workstation monitor. Coiled cords with 4-mm and 10-mm snap connectors secure the connection to the ground wire.
