FIFO racks
ESD Workplaces Karl
Karl FIFO racks organise material flow on the first-in, first-out principle: the part stored first is always the first retrieved. The range covers stationary base frames in widths of 510, 790, 930 and 1230 mm (depth 750 mm, height 1990 mm) as well as mobile FIFO cars in 570 and 790 mm widths (height 1600 mm). Steplessly tiltable shelf panels, dividers and ESD roller strips complete the system to keep the pick face continuously loaded and batch order intact.
| Criterion | FIFO rack (stationary) | FIFO car (mobile) |
|---|---|---|
| Widths | 510, 790, 930, 1230 mm | 570, 790, 930 mm |
| Height | 1990 mm | 1600 mm |
| Depth | 750 mm | 870 mm (2-strut) / 1050 mm (4-strut) |
| Base | Floor glides | Castors (mobile underframe) |
| Typical use | Fixed storage lanes, flow-through racking | Cyclic supply to assembly line |
Divider bars (1145x55x2.5 mm) and the tiltable shelf 930 complement both variants when different component sizes need to be presented separately.
Typical applications: SMT and THT assembly lines with cycle-synchronised component supply, automotive and medical device assembly with FIFO replenishment, ESD-compliant storage lanes for moisture-sensitive or ESD-classified parts (EPA zone), goods-in buffers with controlled batch tracking, and internal logistics routes using FIFO cars as mobile staging units.
