A locating job starts with the signal on the line and ends with the mark on the ground. This set supplies the Leica Ultra Standard locator with a range of 4.6 m, the Ultra 12 W signal generator with 12 W of output, the 125 mm multi signal clamp and the system bag. More than 100 transmitter frequencies can be matched to line length and surroundings.

Applications

Route survey ahead of excavator work, cable and pipe laying, service connections, checking power, gas, water and telecom lines. With a sonde, non-metallic pipes and ducts are traced to 3.0 m, and the signal clamp energises the right line in chambers and cabinets without exposing it.

Compatibility

The system takes signal clamps in 80, 125 and 175 mm, the receiver clamp, the stethoscope covering 50 Hz to 200 kHz and the standard and maxi sondes at 8 kHz or 33 kHz. Cable fault finding requires transmitter firmware v2.0 or higher and locator firmware v6.0 or higher, the EML accessory needs locator software v7.0 or higher.
