Workplace luminaires put the light where the work happens: above the bench, the assembly station and the inspection desk. The range runs from the compact clamp lamp to the long bench luminaire, among others from Starlight, Glamox and LED2WORK. Luminous flux runs from 105 lm to 11394 lm and the light colour from 3000 K warm white to 6500 K, with Ra 90 and Ra 98 available for colour and paint checks. Mounting is on an articulated arm, a table clamp, a magnetic holder or a base, and power comes from 24 V, 48 V or the mains.

- Which mounting suits a workbench?
- The articulated arm is the most flexible solution, it swings across the work surface and adjusts in height. The table clamp requires a free table edge, the magnetic holder a ferromagnetic surface, and the base needs no fixing at all.
- Which light colour suits assembly and inspection?
- Warm white at 3000 K is comfortable at permanent stations. For visual and colour inspection, 5000 K to 6500 K works better because contrast stands out more clearly. For changing tasks, luminaires with tunable white let you set the light colour yourself.
- When do I need high colour rendering?
- For colour checks, paint inspection and work on colour-coded wiring. Luminaires with Ra 90 and Ra 98 cover that, while Ra 85 is enough for plain assembly steps.
- Are there luminaires for ESD workplaces?
- Yes. In the ESD attribute, luminaires are marked TEC or ESD (antistatic), and both suit workplaces inside an EPA.
- Which supply voltage is common?
- Mains operation at 100-240 V or 230 V is the rule. Low voltage at 24 V or 48 V makes sense when the luminaire is fed from an existing workstation system.
