Bernstein tools
Bernstein stripping tools cover both manual and automatic cable preparation: from stripping mini-flush cutters for CU conductors up to 1.0 mm (3-0641) and 0.8 mm (3-0645), automatic stripping pliers (5-531, 0.2-6 mm², with stop), stripping knives (5-503 to 5-507, ranges 4-28 mm), and cable knives (5-501). Crimping pliers (3-871-6 for 0.25-2.5 mm², 3-875-6 for 0.5-16 mm²) and a combined strip/crimp tool (5-532, 0.5-6 mm²) allow cable assembly work at the same workstation. Lacquered wire stripping is handled by the lacquer-stripping tweezer 5-181 (125 mm) with replacement blades (5-182).

For very small cross-sections up to 1 mm² (PCB leads, signal cables), the mini-flush cutters (3-0641, 3-0645) and automatic pliers 5-531 are appropriate. For medium cross-sections up to 6 mm² (installation cables, control conductors), the combined pliers 5-532 handle both stripping and crimping. Larger outer diameters from 4 mm are worked with stripping knives 5-503 to 5-507. Enamelled coil wire requires the lacquer-stripping tweezer 5-181.
