Footwear & Wrist Strap Testers
Measuring technology
Footwear and wrist strap testers are the first verification step at every EPA entry point: personnel must demonstrate before entering the ESD-protected area that their footwear and grounding wrist strap meet the resistance limits of IEC/EN 61340-5-1. The DESCO range includes compact wall-mount test stations (222506, 222507), hi-speed/hi-accuracy testers (222562-222565) with an optional interface output for access control systems, and the basic combo tester (99037) for entry-level use.

Typical applications: EPA entry control in electronics manufacturing and SMT production, automated access control with output signal (DESCO 222565), periodic personnel testing at shift changeovers, initial qualification of ESD footwear and wrist straps, and audit and documentation per IEC/EN 61340-5-1.
