Soldering tips P
Soldering and desoldering tips
The Thermaltronics P series are cartridge tips for the TMT-5000S station, offered in two temperature grades: P60 for standard soldering temperatures and P75 for higher temperatures on thermally demanding joints. The geometry range includes conical (P60C004, 0.4 mm; P60C010, 1.0 mm), bevelled 60°/45° (P60BV010-P60BV030), chisel 30° (P60CH012-P60CH052), hoof-shaped with dent (P60WV020, P60WV031) and knife-shaped (P60K047, 4.7 mm). All shapes are identically available in the P75 temperature grade.
P60 tips are designed for the standard soldering window of lead-free alloys (217-260 °C melting range) on the TMT-5000S. P75 tips provide higher thermal reserve and are suited to thermally demanding joints (ground pads, copper layers, thick THT pads) where the station would otherwise cool. For standard SMD assembly, P60 tips are sufficient. The geometry code after the temperature grade is identical: P60BV030 and P75BV030 share the same shape.
Typical applications: SMT hand soldering and rework at the TMT-5000S station, ground-plane and copper-pour joints with P75 grade, chisel type P60CH052 (5.2 mm) for large solder bridges and pin headers, and fine-pitch IC soldering with conical P60C004 tips.
