Vacuum pipettes and suction pickups lift components by negative pressure when a tweezer tip finds no graspable edge or the surface must not be touched. Hand pipettes generate the vacuum with a bellows or plunger, while stationary units draw it from a vacuum line. Suction nozzles are available in 3, 6, 9 and 12.7 mm, straight and bent, suction cups from 3.56 to 19.05 mm diameter; ESD versions are dissipative to IEC 61340-5-1 at 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω.
