Reverse action tweezers work the other way round: the tips are closed at rest and are opened by squeezing the arms. The component stays held without hand force, which relieves the hand during soldering, bonding and longer fixturing tasks. Besides the fine SMD shapes 31, 31c, 53 and 53c the category includes soldering reverse action tweezers in shapes R29 and R30 with plastic handles and shovel type jaws.
