ESD tool sets are put together for work on electrostatic discharge sensitive devices inside the EPA. IEC 61340-5-1 requires every handle to be dissipative, typically in the range of 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω. Just as important, the insert, the pouch and the case itself have to be dissipative, otherwise the tool is recharged every time it is taken out.
