Socket Inserts

Wrenches and Sockets

Sockets enclose the fastener head over its full face and are driven through a square drive to DIN 3120 and ISO 1174 by a ratchet, a T-handle or a torque wrench. The hexagon or bi-hexagon profile to DIN 3124 spreads the load across the flats instead of the corners, so tight fasteners can be released without damaging the head. Selection is governed by drive size, across flats size, socket depth (standard or deep) and the drive profile of the fastener. The range holds 571 items, led by Proxxon and Bahco and supported by Wiha, Wera, Knipex and Bernstein.

Square drive to DIN 3120 - 1/4 inch (6.3 mm), 3/8 inch (10 mm), 1/2 inch (12.5 mm) and 3/4 inch (20 mm)
Hexagon profile to DIN 3124 - face contact drive that protects the head corners during release
Deep sockets 50 mm - for nuts on protruding threaded rods and stud bolts
Chrome vanadium molybdenum steel - hardened to HRC 56 to 58 and chrome plated against corrosion
Retaining and special profiles - magnetic seats, gripper sockets and triangular profiles M5 to M8
