Open End and Ring Spanners

Wrenches and Sockets

Open end and ring spanners transmit torque straight onto hexagon fasteners without a square drive. The open end spanner to DIN 3110 and ISO 1711 engages two flats and can be fitted from the side, while the ring spanner to DIN 838 and ISO 691 encloses the head completely and puts far less load on its corners. Selection follows the across flats size, the head shape (straight, offset, slim line) and the swing clearance available at the joint. The range holds 636 items, mainly from Bahco, Proxxon, Wera and Knipex, complemented by Bernstein and Wiha.

Open jaw to DIN 3110 - jaw offset 15 degrees to the shank axis, allowing repositioning in 30 degree steps
Ring profile to DIN 838 - bi-hexagon with twelve engagement points, high torque without slipping
Sizes 3 to 46 mm - from precision mechanics through to machine assembly
Combination spanner to DIN 3113 - both engagement types for one size in a single tool
Chrome vanadium steel - hardened, tempered and chrome plated, the molybdenum grade also used for adjustable wrenches
