Water pump pliers grip pipes, nuts and round stock across a wide adjustment range; pipe wrenches and pliers wrenches complete the group for pipework and assembly. Design and testing of water pump pliers follow DIN ISO 8976. The models differ by adjustment principle: through fitted joint with multi step ratchet, push button adjustment and groove joint. Overall lengths run from 180 to 300 mm, and VDE versions to IEC 60900 are individually tested at 10 000 V and approved up to 1000 V AC.
