SMD tweezers are designed for surface mounted devices: slim, very sharp tips, low spring force and defined tip angles of 30 to 45 degrees so the component stays visible while being placed. Shapes 2, 2a, 4, 5, 5a, 5b, 7, 7a, 12, 13 and 59 differ in tip width and bend, and ultra fine versions reach a tip thickness of 0.2 mm. ESD variants use dissipative stainless steel or a dissipative coating and stay within 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω to IEC 61340-5-1. The category holds 65 articles, mainly from Bernstein, Weller, Bahco and Lindström.
