Non-sparking socket inserts from Bahco (NSB220 series) are manufactured from copper-beryllium with a 1/2" square drive. The range covers hexagonal profiles from 6 mm to 30 mm (and above) in individual sizes and is approved for use in explosive atmospheres per EN 13463. Combined with copper-beryllium drive components (ratchet NSB242, extensions NSB234, adapters NSB232) from the "Other non-sparking tools" category, complete non-sparking socket sets for ATEX zones can be assembled.

Typical applications: Assembly and disassembly of bolted connections in ATEX-classified areas in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry, maintenance of process equipment in explosive atmospheres with flammable gases, liquids, or dusts, and offshore platforms and chemical production plants where the use of steel tools is prohibited for safety reasons.
