Torque Adapters and Accessories
Torque Tools
Torque adapters sit between the handle or driver and the bit and limit the transmitted torque to a fixed value; once that value is reached the adapter breaks over or disengages and further tightening is no longer possible. This secures small fasteners on boards, connectors and plastic housings in the range of tenths of a newton metre without keeping a full torque screwdriver for every target value. The bit holder follows DIN 3126 and the higher rated versions meet DIN EN ISO 6789; selection is governed by the target torque, the bit size (4 mm C4 or 1/4 inch C6.3) and the width available at the joint. The range holds 77 items from Bernstein, from the single adapter through to bit sets in a case.
| Version | Bit holder | Torque | Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adapter for C4 bits | 4 mm hexagon | 0.1 to 0.7 Nm | fine assembly in electronics |
| Slim adapter | 1/4 inch | 0.2 to 0.5 Nm | access in confined space |
| Adapter for 1/4 inch bits | 6.35 mm hexagon to DIN 3126 | 0.6 to 5.5 Nm | magnetic bit seat |
| Adapter with scale | 1/4 inch hexagon | 2.0 to 6.0 Nm | adjustable, value read off visually |
| Bit set with adapters | C4 and 1/4 inch | 0.1 to 0.6 Nm | 47 and 51 pieces in a plastic case |
Typical applications: fastening boards and shielding plates at target values below 1 Nm; tightening connectors and terminals in device assembly; plastic housings and threaded inserts where overtightening destroys the thread; series assembly without resetting an adjustable tool; repair and service work to a fixed manufacturer specification; equipping assembly benches with one adapter per target value.
