Stripping Tools

Stripping, Crimping and Cable Processing

Stripping tools separate the insulation from the conductor without nicking the individual strands of a flexible conductor. The decisive criteria are the cross section range in mm² and AWG, the type of cut (longitudinal cut on the core, circular cut on the outer sheath) and, on automatic strippers, the self-setting clamping width with length stop. For workstations inside an EPA there are versions with dissipative handles to IEC 61340-5-1, and VDE tested pliers rated 1000 V for work on live parts. The range covers 349 articles, with Ideal, Knipex, C.K, Weidmüller, Wiha and Bernstein as the leading brands.

Cross section range in mm² and AWG - shaped blades per clamping width, covering fine strand wire up to 16 mm²
Automatic clamping width adjustment - the tool adapts to the conductor, the length stop fixes the stripping length
Shaped blades and clamping jaws - the conductor cross section stays intact, no severed individual strands
Longitudinal and circular cut - sheath stripping knives with hook blade or straight blade, adjustable cutting depth
ESD and VDE versions - dissipative handles 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω to IEC 61340-5-1, VDE insulation 1000 V
