Cutting reinforcing wire, spring steel or nails day after day puts the load on the cutting edges. At 180 mm in length this high leverage diagonal cutter handles hard wire up to 2.7 mm and piano wire up to 2.2 mm in diameter, because the cutting edge angle and the transmission ratio are matched to each other.
