Reworking mould cooling circuits costs time whenever every port has to be screwed and unscrewed. Mold Cupla connects the cooling water line by pushing it home and works at 1.0 MPa working pressure with 1.5 MPa pressure resistance.

• Working pressure of 1.0 MPa with 1.5 MPa pressure resistance, sized for cooling water circuits on dies and moulds.
• One-way shut-off valve in the socket keeps the fluid in the line on disconnection, while the coupled pair passes fluid in either direction.
• NBR seal as standard for -20 °C to +80 °C, FKM available on request for -20 °C to +180 °C, for example for heated oil.
• Brass body stands up to permanent contact with cooling water.
• Compact shape suits moulds with closely spaced coolant ports, and the long sleeve socket still reaches plugs embedded in the mould.
• Defined maximum tightening torque per size: 5 Nm at 1/8 inch, 9 Nm at 1/4 inch and 11 Nm at 3/8 inch.

Compatibility

Sockets and plugs connect regardless of end configuration and size, and the series also mates with Super Cupla, with the exception of the K3 and K4 types. The series is not suitable for vacuum service, neither in the connected nor in the disconnected condition.

Standards and compliance

Clearance D at an embedded position follows the outer diameter of the socket wrench in use according to JIS B 4636-1 and JIS B 4636-2.
