Airtec is a German manufacturer of pneumatic components and supplies mechanical engineering, automation and plant engineering with cylinders, valves, air preparation and control technology. The programme is designed for rugged continuous duty applications and industrial standards.

The range covers ISO 15552 standard cylinders, compact and round cylinders, mounting accessories and safety technology. Many series follow international standard dimensions and are therefore easy to combine with existing plant and with components from other manufacturers.

Choosing the right Airtec cylinder

Design by installation situation

The design follows the available space and the task:

  • ISO 15552 standard cylinders for standardised, interchangeable drives in mechanical engineering.
  • Compact cylinders for short installed lengths in tight spaces.
  • Round cylinders for simple, cost-effective feed and clamping tasks.

Piston diameter and stroke

The piston diameter determines the available force at a given operating pressure, the stroke determines the travel. Choose both parameters to suit the application. For long travel Airtec offers standard cylinders with strokes into the metre range.

Material and environment

In damp, hygiene-sensitive or corrosive environments a stainless steel version (e.g. material 1.4401) is recommended. For standard applications aluminium versions are sufficient. Matching swivel mountings ensure a connection that conforms to the standard.
