Sang-A
Sang-A - Push-in fittings and silencers for pneumatics
Sang-A is a manufacturer of pneumatic push-in fittings, tubing and connection components for industrial automation. The programme covers the classic connection technology between valves, cylinders and compressed air lines and is aimed at users in machine and plant engineering.
At esd.equipment the Sang-A programme includes, among other things, the IQSSD series of push-in silencers made of sintered plastic. They are pushed directly into the exhaust ports of valves and valve terminals and reduce the exhaust noise of the outgoing air without throttling the flow unnecessarily.

Choosing the right push-in silencer
What are silencers used for in pneumatics?
When pneumatic valves switch, the exhaust air escapes abruptly into the open and produces a loud hiss. A silencer is fitted onto the exhaust port and distributes the air flow through a porous structure. This noticeably lowers the noise level while the air can still escape.
Which criteria matter?
- Port size: The push-in diameter must match the exhaust port of the valve. The IQSSD series is available in sizes 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm.
- Flow: The silencer should not throttle the exhaust air too strongly, as otherwise the switching speed of the cylinder suffers.
- Material: The IQSSD versions are made of sintered plastic, which distributes the air finely and is robust against contamination.
Maintenance and operation
Silencers made of sintered material can clog over time if the exhaust air carries oil or particles. Rising back pressure or slower cylinder movements are signs that the silencer should be replaced. Thanks to the push-in design the component can be changed without tools.

Frequently asked questions about Sang-A
What does Sang-A manufacture?
Sang-A is a manufacturer of pneumatic push-in fittings, tubing and connection components for industrial automation. At esd.equipment the IQSSD series, push-in silencers made of sintered plastic, is available among other products.
What are the IQSSD silencers used for?
The IQSSD silencers are pushed onto the exhaust ports of pneumatic valves and valve terminals. They distribute the escaping exhaust air through a porous structure and thus reduce the exhaust noise when the valves switch.
Which sizes are the push-in silencers available in?
The IQSSD series is available with push-in diameters of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm. The right size depends on the diameter of the exhaust port on the valve.
What material are the IQSSD silencers made of?
The IQSSD silencers are made of sintered plastic. The porous material distributes the exhaust air finely and thus provides even noise damping.
How are the push-in silencers installed?
The push-in silencers are fitted directly into the exhaust port of the valve without tools. Thanks to the push-in design they can be removed just as easily and replaced when required.
