Choosing the right YPC valve
Centre position of the 5/3-way valve
On 5/3-way valves the centre position determines the behaviour in the de-energised state:
- Pressurised - both cylinder ports are under pressure.
- Closed - the cylinder is held in its position.
- Exhausted - both ports are switched to zero pressure.
Choose the variant to match the safety and motion behaviour your application requires.
Defining the control voltage
The SIV valves are available in several voltage variants, among them 12 V DC, 24 V DC plus 24 V AC, 115 V AC and 230 V AC. Go by the control voltage available in your plant so that coils and connection technology are matched correctly.
Accessories and spare parts
For operation and maintenance you should plan for matching solenoid coils and connectors with cable. For the SY100 series 2-pin plugs with different cable lengths are available, so valves can be reconnected quickly when service is needed.
