Bits

Screwdrivers and Bits

Bits are interchangeable driving tips with a standardised shank that fit bit holders, bit screwdrivers, ratchets and cordless drivers. The relevant standards are DIN 3126 and ISO 1173: shank form C 6.3 corresponds to the 1/4 inch hex, form E 6.3 to the version with a groove for quick change chucks; in electronics the 4 mm shank is used in addition. The range covers slotted, Phillips, Pozidriv, TORX, TORX Plus, hex and security profiles such as Y type and Pentalobe, plus adapters from 1/4 inch to 4 mm and extensions up to 115 mm. The category holds 700 items, the leading brands are Wiha, Wera and Bernstein.

Shank to DIN 3126 and ISO 1173 - form C 6.3 as 1/4 inch hex, plus the 4 mm shank for precision work
25 mm bit length as standard - long bits and extensions up to 115 mm for recessed fastenings
Security profiles in the range - Y type, Pentalobe and tamper resistant versions for equipment screws
ESD bit sets to IEC 61340-5-1 - dissipative handle, resistance 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω
Adapters and magnetic holders - 1/4 inch to 4 mm transition, the magnet holds bit and screw while starting
