A pipe gives no sign of whether cooling water is actually moving. The Nitto Kohki flow indicators show the flow through a two-coloured impeller, from 2 L/min on the Flow Monitor.

• The Flow Vane ASSY can be replaced without removing the unit from the piping
• A stopper prevents unintended removal of the plastic parts
• The threaded part on the T2 side rotates freely to the left and right, which makes installation and replacement easier

• Visual check of cooling water flow on tooling and machinery
• Temperature control circuits where a loss of circulation must show up immediately
• Pipework with Rc 3/8 or Rc 1/2 female threads
• Installations where the indicator is cleaned or replaced on a regular basis

Compatibility

The approved fluid is water. The units cannot be used for gas, and with oil the durability of the plastic parts may drop depending on the oil or its additives, so the application has to be evaluated first.

Standards and compliance

End sizes are Rc 3/8 and Rc 1/2, maximum tightening torques are 11 Nm on the FM-03-B and 12 Nm at Rc 3/8 and 30 Nm at Rc 1/2 on the FMC-30, and the products comply with the RoHS Directive.
