Small parts and boards should stay where they were placed, and the packaging itself must not become a charge source. This PUR foam ELHart sheet measures 353 x 253 mm at 6 mm thickness and sits in the conductive range at 10E3 to 10E4 ohm, so charges drain away under control. The hard grade gives way very little under load.

Application

Inside the ESD protected area the sheet serves as an insert in cartons, stacking containers and workpiece carriers. Typical contents are populated boards, connectors and small parts that must neither shift between two operations nor touch a charged surface. The foam can be trimmed with a knife to the inner dimensions of the container.

The series covers further thicknesses (10 mm). This article is the 6 mm version.
