For deeper containers where parts are meant to sit embedded rather than merely resting on the surface, this insert provides 15 mm of material. The XLPE foam ELXAC50 sheet measures 353 x 253 mm and is conductive at 10E3 to 10E6 ohm, which drains charges rather than storing them. The firm grade keeps its shape while doing so.

Application
Inside the ESD protected area the sheet serves as an insert in cartons, stacking containers and workpiece carriers. Typical contents are populated boards, connectors and small parts that must neither shift between two operations nor touch a charged surface. The foam can be trimmed with a knife to the inner dimensions of the container.
The series covers further thicknesses (6 mm and 10 mm). This article is the 15 mm version.
