ESD Measuring

ESD equipment

ESD measuring and test instruments are the tools for quantitatively verifying all ESD protection measures in EPA zones. Without regular measurement, no normative EPA can be demonstrated, whether for internal audits or customer requirements under IEC/EN 61340-5-1 or ANSI/ESD S20.20. The range covers wrist strap and footwear testers for daily personnel testing, field meters and electrostatic measuring instruments for surface potentials, test stations for systematic EPA audits, and monitoring systems for continuous in-process supervision.

IEC/EN 61340-5-1 - periodic measurement of all EPA components is mandatory for certification
Daily personnel testing - footwear and wrist strap testers document resistance at all EPA entry points
Surface resistance 10⁵-10¹¹ Ω - teraohmmeter and electrode sets for workbenches, floors, and mats
Electrostatic fields - field meters measure charge potentials on surfaces and products
Calibration and traceability - DESCO calibration units for Hi-Speed/Hi-Accuracy testers, ISO-traceable

Typical applications: EPA entry control in electronics manufacturing, periodic audits of all EPA components (IEC/EN 61340-5-1), initial qualification of new workstations and floor coverings, walking tests to validate ESD footwear in the real production environment, and continuous monitoring of wrist straps and work surface mats during production.
