IC sticks arrive in the store batch by batch, and at the placement bench the picking order decides whether an older batch stays behind and eventually shows up as dead stock. This tube box takes the sticks and releases them on a first-in-first-out basis, so the stick loaded first is the one that leaves first.

Applications

At the setup bench ahead of placement, in the component store and at rework, wherever ICs are kept in sticks and the batch has to stay traceable. The box is refilled at the top and picked at the bottom, so every stick travels through the whole stock instead of sitting at the front. That matters most for parts with a limited storage life which should be consumed in the order they arrived.
